Four, Eight and Twelve Weeks
"Mini-revolt
At Clearhead we have found that it takes, on average, around four to six weeks for most people to adjust to not using cannabis. As we have seen, some will go through more quickly, whilst others will still hit upon lingering symptoms up to two months after smoking their last joint. For some reason, we have also found that the four-week mark is particularly difficult. Even people who have found the process relatively straightforward sometimes find that during their fourth week without weed a mental switch clicks, which triggers a mini-revolt as the addictive part of your mind finally realizes that you ain’t going to go back to your old ways anytime soon. At this point it may seem, for a day or two, that you are back to square one; but it will pass quickly enough, providing you don’t give in to temptation.
Feeling better
When we start to feel better, it doesn’t all come at once. It’s a subtle feeling of well-being, almost like the high we got when we started smoking dope in the early days."
